Family Catch up
It has een a very, very busy Spring, since we got tagged for Haiti. Upon return, we were back deep into Lacrosse season. It ended in early May, and then we had a rush of guests here and some broader more strategic reflection on top of our normal schedules.
So rather than talk you to death - thought I give you some pictures and comment under them and you'll get the flow... Hope you enjoy.
We had our Spring block party - perfect temps, lots of people, lots of laughter. One comment from a neighbor: Your community has reforged our neighborhood and made it better than before Katrina. Thank you!

Here is our community in May 2010. While we have a stable core, there is more change than we would want. Kyle & Sheridan get married next month. They leave Memorial Day, taking a sabbatical for a year. Jeni (center in block & white dress) returns to the UK in just over a week. She's been with us almost six months - exchange from the Anglican Church (Church of England).
Adam caught a nail through his finger. He was fine - and we thank God it missed his bone - which would have been tragic! He went back to work after it was bandaged!

We celebrated Justin's 18th. We have had the pleasure to watch him grow up, first meeting him as a 15 year old. He's the first to make it to college and will play lacrosse for Randolff-Macon in Virginia.
My mother had a birthday and we met her for coffee and a chat between our house and hers.
Doing the strategic work, planning our future. Thanks to Andrew & Allie, who flew in from Los Angeles to help us "think".
I guess texting, reading the paper, drinking coffee and yelling at pedestrian's was too much. :-) Seriously, Mike had a small fender bender - yes - his fault.
Mike & Chad had a great, but long lacrosse season, reaching the final game, coming up state runner-up two years in a row. It was an upset loss, but the guys took it well. Mike and Chad are proud of them.
Logan had his first lacrosse season th year. He loves Christian Brothers School. His brother, Jay, will be there also next fall.
Returning form Haiti, the carnival season was in full swing. We arrived a mere week left. BUT we worked to make up for it. It included parades, crawfish boils, and time with friends! Gosh, we love living in New Orleans!

Until next post - ciao!
